J&K Tourism Department To Boost Tourism
J & K Tourism department plans Rs 50 crore project to boost tourism by investing in necessary infrastructure at developing religious destinations throughout Jammu. According to Robin Singh Mehta, who is the director of Jammu and Kashmir tourism, Jammu was more of a pilgrimage place “it is felt that more shrines in Jammu region should be brought under its ambit .
Samba, Chichi Mata Temple, Purmandal temples, Narsingh temple, Sudh Mahadev Mandir and Shivkhori cave would be covered throughout the project. The project promises beautifying Katra and Lakhanpur town Lakhanpur is being stressed upon here because it acts as the Gateway to Jammu and Kashmir.
This project,that aims to beautify historic temples between Lakhanpur and Panitop would be forwarded to the Govt. of India.
