Travel and Deal

About us

All discoveries in the world are a consequence of travel. It is only when we go beyond that we find peace, purpose and life. Travel is what takes us closer to ourselves and our little planet in this vast rapidly expanding universe. Travel& Deal is a sister concern of Art & Deal, the only monthly magazine on art. Much like its counterpart Travel & Deal shall essentially focus on the travel. The Deal here is the destination, a place with certain romanticism, applaudable architecture, the ambience and beauty it offers a visitor, not a ticket with hotel reservation!

It is the people, I believe that make a place beautiful. I have travelled to the remotest of areas in India, places with zero infrastructure, the villages of tribals like the Santhals & the Sauras, their primitive minimal and dwellings hidden away from modernity and was awe struck by the exquisiteness of these areas. These neglected cultural treasures have such tremendous tourism prospects but have been continually overlooked by the government and concerned agencies.

Ironically the Korba Tribe of Chattisgarh in the deep interiors, now renowned for their indigenous art were noticed by foreign travellers. Time to search within just as extensively as we seek beauty outside. We must feel suitably humiliated, we failed to discover, acknowledge &document part of our own heritage first. We see it all as passersby, take a glimpse, ignore and walk on. Travel & Deal shall bring forth many such stories on Art, Historical, Wildlife & Adventure tourism as we attempt to discover a new getaway each time.

In future issues we shall include Hotels, guest houses & ticketing deals for you. Hope you enjoy reading as we go around museums, markets, festivals and re introduce ourselves to our own heritage with a fresh perspective .Our first issue would  take you away from the scorching heat of Delhi and put you in the arms of ‘Swiss’.Our first issue would target the lost heritage in Bombay to Dutch influence in Pulicut to the biggest beer festival in Munich .

Your feedback shall be greatly appreciated. All my best & Happy Travelling!
